Registered Nurses

Garrett Regional Medical Center, nestled in the scenic mountains of beautiful western Maryland is seeking RN’s for our Med-Surg, Intensive Care Unit, and Emergency Department.  Must have ACLS and/or PALS or be willing to obtain within 6 months.  ER RN’s must also have TNCC or be willing to obtain within 6 months.

Positions will work as scheduled, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing is required.

Patient Accounting Manager

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a Patient Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Daily operations and functions of the patient accounting business office
  • Support and leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Oversees the business office functions including the billing and collections of patient accounts, compliance with third party payer regulations, cash posting, etc.
  • Ongoing performance improvement to key revenue cycle indicators
  • Personnel development and productivity
  • Implementing and maintaining Business Office policies

 

Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum of Five Years Progressive Experience in credit, billing, and collections in a healthcare setting required
  • Supervisory Experience in a healthcare business office setting preferred
  • CRCP or CRCR preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of accounting or business principles
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and Hospital/Physician billing
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of third party reimbursement policies and practices
  • Knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payment systems
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate financial data
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks
  • Ability to supervise, train and motivate employees
  • Ability to lead through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exhibits good judgment in handling difficult situations and conflict resolution

Emergency Room Technician

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time (40-hours per week) Emergency Room Technician.  Position will work primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.  ERT experience preferred.  Training in phlebotomy and ECG acquisition and/or previous experience in hospital-based emergency care preferred.  EMT-B preferred.  Competitive salary and benefits.

Housekeeper

Part-time Housekeeper needed.  Must have reading, writing and math skills.  Must work rotating shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays as scheduled.  Previous experience in housekeeping preferred.

Diet Aide/Cook

Garrett Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Diet Aide/Cook.  Position will work rotating shifts between the hours of 5:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m., rotating weekends and rotating holidays as scheduled.

High school graduate or equivalent with excellent communication and public relations skills.  Experience in institutional dietetics preferred.  Prior experience in professional food preparation preferred.  Clerical experience preferred.

Surgical Technician

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a part-time (20-hours per week) experienced Surgical Technicians.  Position will work as scheduled and will participate in the on-call schedule.

Under the direction of the Surgeon and/or the RN, the OR Tech is responsible for performing various technical functions in preparing for, and assisting with, surgical procedures.  Maintains and cares for the unit, equipment and supplies.  Provides patient comfort and safety.

Certification as a Surgical Technician or willingness to obtain certification within 2 years is required.  Patient Care certification required.  Approximately one year of related work experience in healthcare required.
