Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time (36-hours per week) Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department.  Must have ACLS, PALS and TNCC or be willing to obtain within 6 months.  Position will work primarily second and third shift but must work all shifts as scheduled, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.  Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing required.

Pharmacist

Garrett Regional Medical Center, nestled in the scenic mountains of beautiful western Maryland, currently has an opening for a part-time Staff Pharmacist.

Position will work full time hours (36 hours per week) into November then will be scheduled 24 hours per week.

Our pharmacy is open daily 7am-7pm.  Must work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.  If you enjoy working in a hospital environment we encourage you to apply for this position.  Licensure in the state of Maryland required; previous hospital experience preferred.

MT/MLT

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time (40 hours per week) Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to work primarily second and third shifts.

Candidate should have experience of the day-to-day operation of all areas of the Lab as needed.  Performs standard tests, obtains and prepares specimens, makes reagents, determines and evaluates results, performs quality control procedures. MT/MLT (ASCP) certification or the equivalent is required.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Registered Nurse for Family Centered Maternity Suite

Garrett Regional Medical Center, currently has an opening for a part-time (24-hours per week) Registered Nurse for our Family Centered Maternity Suite/Float Pool.   Performs professional nursing duties as required in our Obstetrics department as well as various nursing areas throughout the hospital.  Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the nursing department standard of care.  Communicates effectively with staff and physicians on each unit in regards to patient care.  Participates in QA and Infection Control practice throughout the hospital. May be assigned responsibility for data collection in various areas of the hospital.  Floats between 2 to 3 units.

Must make a 2 year commitment to float pool.

Individual must be very organized, self-directed and creative.  Strong communication skills and clinical knowledge necessary.  Excellent patient relation skills essential.  Must be a team player with a positive attitude.  Computer experience helpful.  Minimum of 2 years previous Nursing experience required.  Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners required.
