with a one year commitment.

Garrett Regional Medical Center, currently has openings for RN’s in our Emergency Department and Med-Surg Unit.  Must have ACLS/PALS or be willing to obtain within 6 months.  ER RN’s must also have TNCC or be willing to obtain within 6 months.  Positions will work primarily second and third shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing is required.

Patient Accounting Manager

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a Patient Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily operations and functions of the patient accounting business office
  • Support and leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Oversees the business office functions including the billing and collections of patient accounts, compliance with third party payer regulations, cash posting, etc.
  • Ongoing performance improvement to key revenue cycle indicators
  • Personnel development and productivity
  • Implementing and maintaining Business Office policies

 

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum of Five Years Progressive Experience in credit, billing, and collections in a healthcare setting required
  • Supervisory Experience in a healthcare business office setting preferred
  • CRCP or CRCR preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accounting or business principles
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and Hospital/Physician billing
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of third party reimbursement policies and practices
  • Knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payment systems
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate financial data
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks

Grant Writer

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time (40-hours per week) Grant Writer.  Position is responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit and manage grant proposals to foundation, government and corporate sources.  Tracks metrics and develops dashboards or control charts for results.  Assists with liaison activities with local and state governmental agencies.  Participates with community agencies for collaboration on grants and local programs

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.  2 years successful experience in grant development with a proven track record of cultivating, soliciting and stewarding grant donors.  Healthcare background preferred.

 

Cook

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time (40-hours per week) Cook.  Position will work rotating shifts between the hours of 5:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m., rotating weekends and rotating holidays as scheduled.

High school graduate or equivalent with excellent communication and public relations skills.  Experience in institutional dietetics preferred.  Prior experience in professional food preparation preferred.  Clerical experience preferred. Competitive salary and benefits.

 

Surgical Technician

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a part-time (20-hours per week) experienced Surgical Technicians.  Position will work as scheduled and will participate in the on-call schedule.

Under the direction of the Surgeon and/or the RN, the OR Tech is responsible for performing various technical functions in preparing for, and assisting with, surgical procedures.  Maintains and cares for the unit, equipment and supplies.  Provides patient comfort and safety.

Certification as a Surgical Technician or willingness to obtain certification within 2 years is required.  Patient Care certification required.  Approximately one year of related work experience in healthcare required.

Certified Pharmacy Technicians

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has openings for 2 part-time Certified Pharmacy Technicians.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, accurate patient billing, and all other aspects of pharmacy technician duties.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for reciprocity from another state required.  Computer experience necessary.
