A Heart Saver CPR, AED and First Aid Class has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 14 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm in the new GCMH Wellness Education Center on Pythian Avenue behind Garrett County Memorial Hospital.

Lon Kieffer, a nationally known author and presenter, will be the keynote speaker at the Garrett County Health Fair on Saturday, April 13 at the Wisp Resort. Kieffer is well known for his humor-based “EnterTaining” style of speaking.

The Garrett County Memorial Hospital Foundation is already hard at work preparing for the 2013 Garrett County Memorial Hospital Gala, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2013.

First Choice Physical Therapy is sponsoring a 5K run and one mile walk to be held in conjunction with the 7th Annual Garrett County Health Fair.

Garrett County Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society will hold the next Look Good…Feel Better workshop on March 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Hospital’s Board Room.

  Dr. Daniel Herring, a local dermatologist, will be among the guest speakers at the Garrett County Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at the Wisp Resort.  Herring will be talking about the prevention and treatment of skin damage.
