Garrett County Memorial Hospital recognized six individuals who have been active VIVA volunteers for twenty-one years.

Other VIVA volunteers recognized for their service include: Loretta Bailie, nineteen years; Vince Genco, eighteen years; Carol Burdick and Millie Shilke, seventeen years; Ellen Zimmerman, Barbara Thorne and Dick Schrock, fifteen years; Fern Foley, fourteen years; Henrietta Lease, Wayne Johnson, Lucille Ludvigsen and Jean Schrider, thirteen years; Scott Atwill, Betty Kurilla and James Croston, twelve years, Ed Sipes, Betty Hesen, Diedre Kildow, Flo Royer, Pauline Parrack and Gretchen Rush, nine years; Marjorie Carlino, eight years; Mary Ann Vincent, Sonny Vincent, Alice Wilt Schrock, Bea Crosco, Joann Lowry, Lillian Mitchell and Louise Wilson, seven years; Judy Church, Earl Clark, Daphne Gibson and Debra McCombs, six years; Faye Hetrick, Barbara Frantz, Bud Parrack and Barbara Riley, five years; Susan O’Neal, John Lowry Dick Harris and Sharon Schwalm, four years, John Lyons and Kathy Lyons, 3 years; Lenora Powell, Goldie Sugars, Joe DiSimone, Beverly Maynard and Hannah Sincell, 2 years; Jeanne Hager, John Jankalski, Barbara Shank and Suzanne Harle, one year. New volunteers to join the group include Arlene Alascio, Norman Burns, David Church, Jim Eckhardt, Loretta Mangan, Linda White and Juanita Thomas.

VIVA volunteers currently serve in the lobby/admissions area, medical records, surgery waiting area, emergency department, mailroom, utilization management, and the VIVA office.
