The next Look Good Feel Better Workshop will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 from 3:00 pm -5:00 pm at Garrett County Memorial Hospital’s Wellness Education Center located on Pythian Ave. in Oakland, (behind the Hospital).
The free workshop is designed for individuals undergoing treatment for cancer. Look Good Feel Better is a free, national public service program designed to teach women cancer patients the techniques to help restore their appearance during treatment. The workshop is conducted with the help of volunteer cosmetologists and includes a 12-step skin and makeup program. Each participant will receive a free make-up kit valued at $250.00. Make up kits are provided courtesy of the American Cancer Society, The Cosmetics, Toiletry & Fragrance Association and Foundation and the National Cosmetics Association. For those who cannot attend a workshop, self help materials including a video and instructional booklet are available. This event is co-sponsored by Garrett County Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society. Pre-registration is required and may be completed by contacting Bev Rasel at 301-533-4935.
