An ATM machine is located in the basement of the George Loar Building, near the cafeteria.

Special arrangements may be made for visitors to purchase a guest tray if they'd like to eat in the room with a patient. These arrangements can be made by speaking with a member of the staff.
All visitors are asked to park in lots specifically designated for visitors. Parking is provided free of charge.
Garrett County Memorial Hospital has been a smoke free facility since July 1, 2003. Smoking is not allowed on hospital grounds, including parking lots, structures and outdoor areas.

The Cup O’ Joe snack bar, maintained by the Loar Auxiliary, offers traditional vending snacks, as well as specialty and gourmet coffee and is accessible 24 hours a day.
All proceeds from Cup O’ Joe are used by the Auxiliary to assist Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
The use of cellular phones is only permitted in approved areas of the hospital.
To support patients or family members who are deaf or hard of hearing, Teletypewriters (TTYs) are available in the Admissions department and can be reached from outside the hospital at (301) 533-4146.

All sales representatives must have appointments to visit with any department personnel. Purchasing will verify appointments and maintain a Vendor Sign In Log, as well as issue a vendor badge for GCMH identification. Visitors of Garrett County Memorial Hospital shall enjoy equal visitation privileges consistent with the patient's preferences and are subject to the hospitals' justification of clinical restriction. Patients are allowed only two visitors at a time. Children under the age of 12 are not encouraged to visit.
