Network Administrator

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full time Network Administrator.

The IS Network Administrator assumes responsibility for the continuous day-to-day functioning of all network hardware and software including servers, Microsoft, hubs, switches, routers and wiring. Maintains and expands GRMC intranet and supports a wide variety of user software including Microsoft Office products, Windows, and many others. Provides specifications for procurement of new hardware, maintains and repairs existing GRMC hardware. Responsible for the safety and security of the network and the data within the hospital systems.

BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience of at least 5 years.  Significant knowledge of hospital and clinical or financial departments' operating needs, policies and procedures.  Wide variety of knowledge in hardware, software, networking, IP protocols and office products.  A-plus, Microsoft, certification preferred. Meditech experience preferred.

Excellent communication skills required.

 

Accountant Intern

Garrett Regional Medical Center, currently has an opening for a full-time (40-hours per week) Accountant Intern.

This is a temporary position to last 4 months.

Position will assist all employees of the Accounting department with filing and opening mail.  Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries. Assist with entering budget into Meditech, preparing monthly financial statements, annual budget package, audit inquiries and accounts payable duties.  Will also assist in tracking and locating fixed assets throughout the hospital and making daily deposits at local banks.                                                      

High school diploma required.  College education in related field preferred.  Excellent verbal communication, written communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required. Driver’s license required. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities required.

 

Unit Secretary

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time Unit Secretary on our Med-Surg Unit.  Position will work shifts as scheduled, rotating weekends and rotating holidays. 

Performs all routine clerical and receptionist duties on the Nursing unit.  Transcribes Doctor’s orders.  Performs all other related duties.

High school diploma required.  Knowledge of Medical Terminology and previous clerical and/or patient care experience is desirable.

Emergency Room Technician

Garrett Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Emergency Room Technician.  Position will work primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.  ERT experience preferred.  Training in phlebotomy and ECG acquisition and/or previous experience in hospital-based emergency care preferred.  EMT-B preferred.

Patient Care Access Representative

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has openings for a full-time and a part-time Patient Care Access Representative.  High school graduate with excellent communications skills a must.  Individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently.  Will work primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.  Responsible for accurately obtaining all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record.  Handles switchboard and paging functions for the hospital.  Accepts payments, writes receipts and prepares daily deposit accurately.  Performs outpatient insurance verifications as required and informs patients about financial liabilities.  Requests appropriate co-pay and deductible amount at time of registration.  Responds accurately to Caring Program or payment plan inquiries.

High school graduate with training in typing, filing and office procedures.  Computer experience preferred.  Hospital experience preferred.

Diet Aide

Garrett Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Diet Aide/Cook.  Position will work rotating shifts between the hours of 5:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m., rotating weekends, and rotating holidays as scheduled.

High school graduate or equivalent with excellent communication and public relations skills.  Experience in institutional dietetics preferred.  Prior experience in professional food preparation preferred.  Clerical experience preferred.

Coding/Billing Specialist

Grantsville Urgent Care Center and the Medical Associates of Grantsville, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Garrett Regional Medical Center, has an opening for a full-time Coding/Billing Specialist.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:  Reviews and analyzes out-patient records to assure timely and   correct ICD10, CPT and HCPCS code assignment in accordance with state and federal guidelines.  Posts charges and payments into ClinicalWorks (eCW).  Performs timely insurance follow-up, handling self-pay account collection, resolving denials, offering and explaining the hospital’s financial assistance program (The Caring Program), offering payment alternative to our patients and displaying excellent customer service skills.  Maintains the security, confidentiality, completeness and accuracy of eCW medical records in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and adherence to established departmental and hospital procedures.

JOB QUALIFCATIONS:  High school graduate + medical billing and coding training program required.  Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, disease process and medical terminology along with strong computer skills.  CPC, CCA or CCS preferred.  Health insurance knowledge preferred.  Previous healthcare billing or collection experience      preferred.  Excellent customer service skills, teamwork, professional demeanor, grammar and written skills required.

Phlebotomist

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time Phlebotomist to work 2:30 to 11:00 p.m.

High school graduate or equivalent.  Phlebotomy experience required.  Phlebotomy certification required or must be eligible for certification.

MT/MLT

Garrett Regional Medical Center, currently has an opening for a full-time Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to work primarily second and third shifts.

Candidate should have experience of the day-to-day operation of all areas of the Lab as needed.  Performs standard tests, obtains and prepares specimens, makes reagents, determines and evaluates results, performs quality control procedures.

MT/MLT (ASCP) certification or the equivalent is required.

Certified Surgical Technician

Garrett Regional Medical Center currently has an opening for a full-time Certified Surgical Technician.  Position will work as scheduled and will participate in the on-call schedule.

Under the direction of the Surgeon and/or the RN, the OR Tech is responsible for performing various technical functions in preparing for, and assisting with, surgical procedures.  Maintains and cares for the unit, equipment and supplies.  Provides patient comfort and safety.

Certification as a Surgical is REQUIRED.  Approximately one year of related work experience in healthcare required.
